DURHAM, N.C.-The Duke University wrestling team concludes the 2012 portion of its schedule this weekend with a pair of duals at the University of Michigan. The Blue Devils take on the 14th-ranked Wolverines and Eastern Michigan Dec. 8 at Cliff Keen Arena.

Duals Information
Duke and Eastern Michigan will kick off the day of duals Saturday with a bout at 12 p.m., at Cliff Keen Arena. The Blue Devils will then take on the host Wolverines at 2 p.m. Tickets are available for $7 for adult general admission and $5 for youth and senior citizen general admission. Reserved chairback seats are $8 apiece.

The dual versus Michigan will feature live results at as well. Fans also can follow along on Twitter for details about the matches. The bout against Eastern Michigan likely will not feature any live scoring. A complete recap of both matches will be available at following the action.

Making the Rounds vs. the Big Ten
The match against Michigan will mark the second straight weekend the Blue Devils have taken on a ranked Big Ten opponent. Prior to last week's meeting at No. 13 Northwestern, Duke had faced just one Big Ten foe - Indiana - in program history.

Eastern Michigan Series History
The Blue Devils and Eagles have faced each other twice in the programs' histories, but not since the 1920s. Duke won both matches, defeating Eastern Michigan 18-6 and 20-3 in consecutive seasons in 1927 and 1928, respectively.

Recapping Opening Duals
Duke opened the dual portion of its 2012-13 campaign last weekend by splitting matches at No. 13 Northwestern and Stevens Tech. The Blue Devils fell to the Wildcats 33-12 before rebounding with a 33-15 victory over the Ducks. Redshirt sophomore Brandon Gambucci and redshirt freshman Dylan Ryan both captured two victories in the weekend, including Gambucci posting first-period pins in both wins. The start was the first for Ryan in his career as four wrestlers made their Duke debut in a dual.

Four Blue Devils Earn First Dual Win
Four Duke wrestlers captured their first career dual victories last weekend at Northwestern. Ryan captured a pair of victories, while redshirt freshmen Marcus Cain, Trey Adamson and Conner Hartmann all split their matches over the weekend.

Gambucci Nets Weekly Award
Following a pair of first-period pins last weekend, redshirt sophomore Brandon Gambucci was named the Ronald McDonald House Charities Duke Student-Athlete of the Week. Gambucci is 7-1 at 133 pounds for the season with five of those wins being first-period falls.

Hartmann Stays in Rankings
Redshirt freshman Conner Hartmann remained in the No. 18 spot in the 197-pound division of the AWN Division I rankings this week following a 1-1 weekend at Northwestern. Hartmann fell to Northwestern's Alex Polizzi before rebounding with a pin against Stevens Tech. Hartmann is 13-3 overall for the year and will be tested this weekend against No. 16 Max Huntley of Michigan.

Scouting Michigan
The No. 14 Wolverines enter Saturday's duals with a 4-1 overall record with a pair of wins over top 20 foes Pittsburgh and Oregon State. Michigan features four wrestlers in the AWN Division I top 20 with Dan Yates leading the way at No. 10 in the 174-pound division. Yates is the lone Wolverine to remain unbeaten at 9-0. Eric Grajales is 4-2 and ranked 13th at 149 pounds, while Maxwell Huntley (197) and Taylor Massa (174) are 16th and 17th, respectively. Michigan's lone loss came against Central Michigan.

Scouting Eastern Michigan
Eastern Michigan meets the Blue Devils with a 3-4 overall record and 0-1 mark in conference action. The Eagles most recently fell to conference foe Ohio 17-16 after defeating Cleveland State 21-15 in a midweek match. Jared Germaine, ranked 17th nationally, headlines the EMU lineup with a 7-4 overall record, while Justin Melick sports a team-best nine victories at 149 pounds.
