DURHAM, N.C. - The men's and women's cross country squads celebrated the end of their outstanding seasons during the teams' annual award banquets last Friday, Dec. 7.

Senior Juliet Bottorff received top honors as the Most Valuable Performer for the women's team, which concluded the 2012 campaign with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Meanwhile, senior Mike Moverman was named the MVP for the Duke men after finishing the fall as an All-Atlantic Coast Conference honoree and the team's top performer at the Pre-Nationals meet, ACC Championships and the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships.

Bottorff and sophomore Kelsey Lakowske, who was also the recipient of the team's Comeback Award, were recognized for achieving All-America and All-ACC distinction. The two Blue Devils were also joined by sophomore Carolyn Baskir and graduate student Suejin Ahn in celebrating All-Southeast Region accolades after leading the Duke women to the program's third Southeast Region title this year.
