Setting the Scene...
 The fourth-ranked Duke women's basketball team (16-0 overall, 6-0 ACC) will travel to Storrs, Conn., to face third-ranked Connecticut (16-1, 4-1 Big East) on Monday, Jan. 21 at 7:00 p.m., at Gampel Pavilion.
 Monday's contest will be aired live nationally on ESPN2 as part of Big Monday with Pam Ward (PXP) and Rebecca Lobo (Color) calling the action.  The game will also be aired live on the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network on WDNC AM 620 with Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color) on the air.  The audio is also available live at www.GoDuke.com.
 When the Blue Devils arrive in Connecticut on Sunday, the travel party will head to Bristol to take a tour of ESPN. 
 Duke will start a week in which it will play three games in seven days as the Blue Devils will next travel to Clemson to face the Lady Tigers on Thursday, Jan. 24.  The Blue Devils will close the week with a home contest against Boston College at 1:00 p.m.

Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...

• Duke is the only undefeated team remaining in NCAA Division I at 16-0.   
• Connecticut has taken more than double the amount of three-pointers than Duke has this season (UConn - 153 of 414 - 37.0%; Duke - 76 of 176 - 43.2%).  
• Elizabeth Williams has blocked at least one shot in every collegiate game she has played - 49 straight. The streak is the second-best in school history behind Alison Bales' 55 in 2003-05. Dating back to high school, Williams has blocked a shot in 67 straight games as she closed her H.S. career with blocks in 19 consecutive contests.  
• Since Coach P arrived six years ago, she has led Duke to 11 wins against top 10 teams.  
• In the month of January over the last four years, the Blue Devils have posted a 27-3 record with all three losses coming at the hands of Connecticut.   
• Two of the top three-point shooters in the nation will hit the hardwood this Monday as Duke's Tricia Liston ranks seventh (46.4%) and UConn's Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis is second (49.4%).  
• Elizabeth Williams has notched double-figure scoring against 19 consecutive ACC opponents.  
• Chelsea Gray leads Duke with 11 charges taken on the season. Gray has 28 for her career. She has moved into seventh place on Duke's all-time charges taken list. Elizabeth Williams leads the league with a 67.7 field goal percentage in ACC games only.  
• Chelsea Gray moved into 10th place on Duke's all-time steals chart on Jan. 10. She now owns 216 career swipes. Gray needs one steal to move into a tie for ninth on the list.  
• Against Virginia Tech, Alexis Jones notched a career-high six steals, while Chelsea Gray matched a career high with seven swipes. The six steals by Jones is tied for the seventh-most in a single game by a Duke freshman.  
• Duke is averaging 79.0 points this season, which is the most for a Blue Devil squad since 2005-06 with an 86.0 ledger. The most for a Coach P squad in her previous five years was 75.2 in 2008-09.  
• After holding Virginia Tech to a school-record low 26 points on Jan. 16, head coach Joanne P. McCallie has held 22 different opponents to under 40 points since arriving at Duke in 2007-08.  
• Junior Haley Peters had an eight-game streak of scoring double-figures end at WFU with seven points. She has reached 10 or more points in 12-of-16 games this season and leads Duke with three double-doubles.  
• For the fifth straight year, Duke has opened the ACC slate with a 6-0 mark. Last year, the Blue Devils opened with a 13-0 mark. In 2010-11, the Blue Devils had a 7-0 ledger to open the season before falling at UNC, in 2009-10 Duke was 6-0 to start (lost at BC).  
• The Blue Devils registered a 3.3 grade-point average in the fall semester, which included five student-athletes with above a 3.5 GPA. A total of 11 Blue Devils had a 3.0 or better.  
• Following Richa Jackson's 16-point effort at Boston College, Duke now features 10 Blue Devils who have posted double-figure scoring at least one time this season, which leads the ACC.  
• Duke has hit 50.0 percent or better from the field in six different games.  
• The Blue Devils own five different student-athletes hitting over 40.0 percent or better from downtown -- Tricia Liston (46.4), Chelsea Gray (44.8), Haley Peters (46.4), Alexis Jones (40.0) and Chloe Wells (50.0).  
• Tricia Liston had her streak of 18 straight games with at least one three-pointer come to an end at N.C. State on Jan. 3. It was the longest streak since Georgia Schweitzer hit 25 straight treys in 2000-01.  
• In dissecting the top shot blockers in the nation, Elizabeth Williams is the only underclassman to rank in the top eight in the country.

A Look at Connecticut...
 Connecticut enters Monday's contest with an overall record of 16-1 after downing Syracuse, 87-62, on Saturday. The Huskies have tallied a record of 7-1 at home this season with the lone loss coming to Notre Dame on Jan. 5.
 Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis (17.1 points, 5.4 rebounds), Breanna Stewart (14.9 points, 7.2 rebounds) and Stefanie Dolson (13.8 points, 6.7 rebounds) lead the way for the Huskies this season.
 Head coach Geno Auriemma is in his 27th season at the helm of UConn, including seven national titles, 13 final fours, four perfect seasons and 37 Big East titles. Since taking over as head coach in 1985, Auriemma has tallied an overall record of 388-59 (.868).

The Series with Connecticut...
 Duke and Connecticut will meet for the 12th time in program history Monday, with the Huskies holding an 8-3 edge all-time against the Blue Devils. The teams last met Jan. 30, 2012 when No. 3 UConn outlasted the fifth-ranked Blue Devils, 61-45 in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
 Over the course of the series, the higher ranked team has won only six of the 11 contests.  The home team has won only one game in the series, which happened in 2011 in Storrs.
 Duke will play its second game at Gampel Pavilion as the 2004 meeting took place in Hartford, Conn. 
 Coach P has tallied a 1-7 record all-time against UConn and is 0-5 since arriving at Duke. 

Duke Versus the Big East...
 Duke holds an all-time record of 35-21 against Big East teams - Cincinnati (0-1), Connecticut (3-8), DePaul (2-1), Georgetown (4-0), Louisville (1-1), Marquette (3-0), Notre Dame (1-5), Providence (3-1), Pittsburgh (4-0), Rutgers (3-2), Seton Hall (4-2), St. John's (2-0), South Florida (3-0), Syracuse (1-0) and Villanova (1-0).  Coach P owns a 23-11 record all-time against Big East schools.

Hey, I Know You...
 Blue Devil junior Haley Peters played with Connecticut guard Caroline Doty on the Philadelphia Belles AAU squad. 
 Sophomore Elizabeth Williams and freshman Alexis Jones played with Connecticut's Stefanie Dolson, Breanna Stewart, Morgan Tuck, Bria Hartley and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis on the USA Women's U19 World Championship squad over the summer of 2011 that won the gold medal Puerto, Chile with an 8-1 record.  Seven of the 13 players on the roster were from either Duke or UConn.
 Williams and Mosqueda-Lewis also played on the U17 World Championship team that won the gold medal in Toulouse, France with an 8-0 mark in the summer of 2010.  Over the summer of 2009, Williams, Mosqueda-Lewis and UConn's Kiah Stokes led the USA U-16 National Team to a 5-0 mark and the gold medal in Mexico City.
 Jones played on the 2010 U18 National Team with UConn's Moriah Jefferson, Stewar and Tuck.  The squad posted a 5-0 record and won the gold medal.

Last Time in Storrs...
 The last time Duke traveled to Storrs, Conn., was on Jan. 31, 2011.  The storylines in 2013 are very similar to 2011 as the Blue Devils were the only remaining undefeated team in the nation (20-0), Connecticut had just one loss (20-1), the game will be televised on ESPN2.
 Duke is a much different team on offense in 2013 as the Blue Devils are averaging 79.0 points, hitting 48.4 percent from the field and 43.2 percent from downtown. 
 The Blue Devils entered the 2011 contest averaging 70.9 points, posting a 41.1 field goal percentage and were hitting 33.3 percent from downtown.
 Duke will hope for a much better performance in 2013, after falling 87-51 in 2011.
 
Williams Hitting Her Stride...
 Sophomore Elizabeth Williams is feeling much better and her play is showing on the court.  Over the last three games, she is averaging 19.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.7 blocks, 1.0 steals and 1.0 assists. 
 Williams has hit 66.7 percent of her field goals during this stretch.
 She owns a team-high four games with 20 or more points. 

Versus the Ranked...
 Duke has played two ranked opponents this season -- 10th-ranked California and 25th-ranked St. John's.  In those games, Elizabeth Williams (14.0), Tricia Liston (14.0), Chelsea Gray (11.0) and Haley Peters (10.0) are averaging double-figure scoring.
 Gray has also averaged 6.5 assists, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocked shots.  Williams has blocked nine shots in the two games, while Liston has knocked down 4-of-8 treys.
 
Upending the Hall of Famers...
  Since arriving at Duke six years ago, Duke Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie has defeated eight different coaches that have been inducted in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame -- Van Chancellor (LSU), Cynthia Cooper-Dyke (UNCW), Sylvia Hatchell (UNC), Debbie Ryan (Virginia), C. Vivian Stringer (Rutgers), Pat Summitt (Tennessee), Tara VanDerveer (Stanford) and Kay Yow (N.C. State).
 With a victory on Monday at Connecticut, McCallie would make that nine coaches.

On the Road...
 The Blue Devils are currently 6-0 on the season in road games and have won by an average of 21.8 a game. 
 Chelsea Gray has averaged 17.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.2 steals in those contests.  She has hit 56.3 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from downtown.
 As a team, Duke is hitting 50.6 percent from the field and 49.3 percent from downtown on the road. 
 Freshman Alexis Jones is averaging 10.5 points, 4.3 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals, while hitting 52.2 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from downtown. 

Looking Back at the Streak...
 Duke has lost the last five games to the Huskies and in each of those contests the Blue Devils have had slow starts.
 In the first half, Duke has shot a combined 27.6 percent from the field in those contests. The Blue Devils are averaging only 22 points a game in the first half as well over the last five games against UConn.
 Duke is a much different team this year and has been very successful in the first half.  The Blue Devils are hitting 51.2 percent of their field goals in the first half this season, which includes nine of 16 contests with over a 50.0 percentage.  The Blue Devils are averaging 39.6 points a game this season in the first half.

Gray Having Impressive Season...
 Blue Devil junior Chelsea Gray is quietly having one of the best individual seasons in school history averaging 14.0 points, 6.3 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 3.6 steals.
 She ranks in the top 20 nationally in assists, steals, free throw percentage and assist/turnover ratio.  Gray is the only player in the nation to average over 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists this year. 
 Between Gray's points scored and assists this season she is contributing 27.6 points a game of Duke's 79.0, which is 34.9 percent of the Blue Devils' scoring.
 At Xavier, Gray was a part of a season-high 44 of the Blue Devils' 82 points and at Boston College she contributed 39 of Duke's 90 points.  Gray is averaging 14.0 points per game and 13.6 points off assists.
 She is approaching the 1,000-point mark as she currently owns 941 points through 84 games. Gray would become the 28th Duke player to reach the 1,000-point plateau.

From Downtown...
 Duke continues to lead the nation with a 43.2 three-point field goal percentage so far this season.  The next ranked team is Harvard at 41.5 percent.
The highest three-point field goal percentage in school history came in 1988-89 with a 40.6 clip.  The Blue Devils hit 37.1 percent from downtown a year ago.  Seven different Duke student-athletes have hit at least one three-pointer this season.
