DURHAM, N.C. - Senior guard Seth Curry was named ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading Duke to wins over Virginia Tech and North Carolina in the final week of the regular season, the ACC announced Monday.

An All-America and All-ACC selection this season, Curry scored 20 points in both victories, shooting 6-of-11 (.545) against Virginia Tech and 8-of-13 (.615) at North Carolina. He hit multiple three-pointers in each contest and shot 7-of-15 (.467) from three-point range for the week. The performances were his 15th and 16th 20-point games of the season, ranked for the second-most in the ACC.

Curry becomes the third Duke player to earn multiple ACC Player of the Week awards this season. He previously earned the honor on Dec. 31 after leading Duke to wins over Cornell, Elon and Santa Clara. Duke becomes the first team in league history to have three players win multiple ACC Player of the Week honors in the same season.

This season, Curry ranks among the ACC leaders in points per game (3rd, 17.1 ppg.), three-point percentage (3rd, .435), made three-pointers per game (2nd, 2.7) and free throw percentage (5th, .810). Curry transferred to Duke prior to the 2009-10 season after his freshman season at Liberty. He recently scored his 1,000th career point at Duke and 2,000th point in college.

Curry's performances helped Duke lock up the No. 2 seed in the ACC Tournament, which begins Thursday, March 14, at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. Duke will receive a first-round bye and will face the winner of seventh-seeded Maryland and 10th-seeded Wake Forest on Friday at 7 p.m.
