DURHAM, N.C. - Chris Edwards of the Blue Devil Network caught up with Duke senior third baseman Jordan Betts this past week. Listen here to learn more about the Wilmington, N.C., native.

A second team All-ACC pick this past season, Betts led the Blue Devils with 48 RBI and 18 doubles his junior season. At the end of the regular season, his 48 RBI ranked tied for 12th in the ACC. Betts registered at least one RBI in 30 games, including a streak of nine-straight contests from March 23 to April 5, and hit .333 with runners in scoring position. Batting primarily from the cleanup spot, he also tagged a career-high seven home runs.

During the summer, Betts played for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod League, batting .248 with 18 runs scored, 11 RBI and three home runs.

Game three of the Blue vs. Black World Series begins today at 4 p.m. from Jack Coombs Field. The Blue Devils conclude their fall season with the final game of the series Sunday, Nov. 3.

Duke opens the 2014 campaign at home against Binghamton Feb. 14-16.
