Nick Potter is in his fifth year as the assistant director of athletic rehabilitation at Duke University. In addition to providing rehabilitation for Duke athletes, he is an instructor in the doctor of physical therapy program in Duke’s School of Medicine.

Potter entered his current position after completing the sports physical therapy fellowship at Duke Sports Medicine. Prior to his fellowship, he completed a combined orthopedic residency/manual therapy fellowship at Sports Medicine of Atlanta.

Originally from Buffalo, N.Y., Potter earned his B.S. in sports medicine with emphases in athletic training and pre-physical therapy at Mercyhurst College in 2001. He was a four-year letterman on the men’s soccer team, helping the Lakers to four GLIAC Championships and an NCAA national semifinal appearance in 1998. Potter earned his doctorate in physical therapy from Duke in 2004.
