Lee Tucker joined the Duke ahtletic staff in 1999 and began serving as an assistant director of facilities and game operations in 2000. In 2004, Tucker became the Director of HPER Facilities where he is in charge of managing the Wilson Center, the IM Building and various fields and courts located on campus. He oversees the entire scheduling of the athletic facilities and fields for all events and games for varsity, club and intramural sports as well as outside events held at Duke's facilities. In addition to his main responsibilities with the student recreation center, Tucker also assists with the facilities management, gameday operations and parking for home football and basketball contests.
A native of Frenchtown, N.J., Tucker graduated from Delaware Valley High School and attended Trenton State Teacher’s College. He served in the United States Army for three years in the 1960s. Tucker was a police officer in New Jersey for 12 years before moving to North Carolina, where he owned and operated restaurants for several years prior to joining the Duke Athletic Department.
Tucker and his wife Michele reside in Durham with their son, Evan.
