DURHAM, N.C. - Duke's Beatrice Capra has been named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's 29th Collegiate All-Star Team, as announced by the organization Friday.

The ITA Collegiate All-Star Team features the nation's top-ranked men's and women's tennis players from the season-ending Campbell/ITA College Tennis Rankings at the NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA levels, as well as winners from the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships and 2012 NCAA Championships. The group of student-athletes will be honored by the ITA at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on Aug. 25.

Joining Capra on the NCAA Division I Women's Singles Team are Stanford's Nicole Gibbs and Florida's Allie Will. Capra is the lone freshman among the three players.

Capra wrapped up the 2012 season with an overall record of 32-5 in singles, including a 23-2 record in dual match play, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Singles Championship, garnering All-America honors. The 30th different All-American in program history, she earned numerous accolades as a rookie, including ACC Player of the Year, ACC Freshman of the Year, ACC Tournament Most Valuable Player, ITA National Co-Rookie of the Year and ITA Carolina Region Rookie of the Year. In addition, Capra finished the year ranked No. 2 in singles in the final ITA poll and guided the Blue Devils to semifinals of the NCAA Championship and the program's league-leading 17th ACC title.
