Janis Hampton
Assistant Professor/Director of Undergraduate Studies
Janis Hampton joined the Blue Devil staff in July of 2005, and currently serves as an Assistant Professor and the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Recreation and Physical Education Department.

Hampton, a native of Hamlet, N.C., graduated from Catawba College in 1991 with a degree in both Recreation and Therapeutic Recreation. Hampton received her Masters in Exercise Physiology at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro in 2003. Prior to joining the Duke staff, Hampton served as the Fitness Coordinator at Sportscenter Athletic Club in High Point, N.C. for two years, and as a Group Home Assistant Director at Sandhills Center Mental Health for nine years.

Hampton currently resides in Durham, N.C.
