With 20 points on the afternoon, pushed its season total to 247 (227 ENTERING GAME) … the 247 points through seven weeks marks the second highest seven-game total to begin a season in school history

NON-OFFENSIVE TOUCHDOWNS: S Jordon Byas returned an interception 20 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter for Duke’s fourth non-offensive touchdown of the season ... it was the second interception returned for a touchdown by Duke


DE KENNY ANUNIKE: Recorded a half sack to extend a streak of at least a half sack in his seventh straight game to open the 2012 season … now has 9.0 sacks over his last nine games dating back to last year.

S BRANDON BRAXTON: Returned to action after missing last week’s game versus Virginia … totaled four tackles

NG JAMAL BRUCE: Saw his first action of the 2012 season after undergoing foot surgery in August

CB LEE BUTLER: Finished with five tackles and one pass breakup

S JORDON BYAS: Logged his second interception of the season and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown ... it was Byas’ second interception in Duke’s last three games and his first career touchdown ... also posted two pass breakups for three total passes defended

S WALT CANTY: Finished the game with nine tackles … reached double digits in the tackle column for the fourth time this year and the 10th time in his career …

CB ROSS COCKRELL: Logged four tackles, including one tackle for loss and his first career sack

WR JAMISON CROWDER: Recorded his third touchdown catch of at least 50 yards with a 62-yard reception on Duke’s first drive ... the three touchdown catches of 50+ yards tie Conner Vernon for the second most in a season at Duke ... finished with a team-high eight catches for 127 yards for his third 100-yard receiving game of the season ... Crowder has caught a touchdown pass in four of Duke’s seven games

DE JUSTIN FOXX: Saw first playing time since week two at Stanford after rehabilitating from hand surgery … finished with six tackles, matching his season high and coming within one of matching his career high

K ROSS MARTIN: Hit two field goals, giving him a Duke freshman record 10 field goals on the year ... connected on a career-long 40-yard field goal in the first quarter ... the 40-yarder gave him 55 points on the year, breaking the previous Duke freshman single-season points record (54 by Corey Thomas, 1994)

QB SEAN RENFREE: Completed 20-of-33 passes for 235 yards and one touchdown … pushed his career passing yardage total to 7,869 and remained in 20th place on the ACC’s all-time list, 135 yards shy of Duke’s Steve Slayden (8,004 yards) … increased his career pass completion total to 742 and remained in ninth place on the ACC’s all-time chart, 30 completions shy of Boston College’s Matt Ryan (772) ... Renfree has now thrown for 16 touchdowns in Duke’s last seven games ... extended his own Duke record for consecutive games with at least 10 pass completions to 30 ... has now completed 20 or more passes in six consecutive games, bettering his top streak set in 2011 against Boston College (41), Tulane (21), FIU (28), Florida State (26) & Wake Forest (28) ... has now thrown for 150 or more yards in 23 consecutive games and 28 of the last 30 games dating back to the beginning of the 2010 season ... has now thrown for 200 or more yards in 24 career games to equal the second-highest total in Duke history held by Thaddeus Lewis … now stands one 200-yard passing game shy of the school record of 25 set by Ben Bennett ... has reached double figures in the touchdown pass column in three straight seasons, matching the second-highest total in Duke history (Thaddeus Lewis holds the school record for most seasons with 10+ touchdown passes with four)

WR DESMOND SCOTT: Caught four passes for 57 yards … extended his streak of consecutive games with at least one pass reception to 33, marking the seventh-longest active streak in the nation and the fifth-longest streak in Duke history trailing Conner Vernon (42; active), Donovan Varner (37), Scottie Montgomery (35) & Randy Cuthbert (34) … pushed his streak of consecutive games with at least two catches to 15 … has now caught two or more passes in 29 games, matching the eighth-highest career total in Duke history

DT NICK SINK: Made his second straight start and recorded his first career sack

WR CONNER VERNON: Finished the day with four receptions for 70 yards … increased his ACC career record total to 243 receptions … remained in third fourth place on the ACC’s all-time chart for receiving yardage with 3,207 yards … is now just 111 yards shy of the Duke career mark of 3,318 yards set by Clarkston Hines … is now just 398 yards short of the ACC career mark of 3,517 held by Florida State’s Peter Warrick … extended own school record for most games with two or more receptions with 41 … extended his own school record streak of consecutive games with at least one reception to 42 – also the longest active streak in the nation – and is now three games shy of the ACC record of 45 held by North Carolina’s Corey Holliday … extended his streak of consecutive games with at least two receptions to 22 – the third-longest streak in Duke history behind Hines (28) and Varner (27)
