Timothy McLeod joined the Blue Devil coaching staff in August of 2012 as a volunteer assistant with the cross country and track & field teams.
McLeod comes to Duke after serving as the head track & field coach at St. Raymond School and the assistant track & field coach at Sacred Heart Prep in Menlo Park, Calif. during the spring of 2012.
Prior to entering the coaching ranks, McLeod competed on the cross country and track & field teams at Indiana. As a member of the Hoosiers' programs, he twice earned All-Big 10 distinction in cross country. McLeod was also an All-Great Lakes Region performer during the 2008 cross country season and helped Indiana finish 28th at the 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championships with a personal-best time of 31:09 to lead the squad.
McLeod graduated from Indiana in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in English.
He also competed in cross country and track & field at Catalina Foothills High School in Tucson, Ariz.
McLeod and his wife, Caitlin, have two children - Desmond and Wallace.
