Team USA will take on the Greyhounds at 1:30 p.m., Jan. 27 on ESPN3. The game will be re-aired on ESPNU Jan. 27 at 10 p.m., and again Jan. 28 at 1 p.m.
Danowski, the 2007 Tewaaraton Trophy winner, is among the 38 players picked to participate in the event. The weekend will serve as an evaluation period prior to tryouts for the 2014 U.S. men's national team to be held Aug. 30-Sept. 2, 2013. The United States is reigning world champion U.S. men's national team after defeating Canada to win the 2010 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Championship,
Former Duke All-American CJ Costabile also was among the 38 invited, but he will be unable to attend because of a conflict with the NLL's Philadelphia Wings' schedule.
The U.S. Women's National Team also will be taking on reigning NCAA Champion Northwestern prior to the men at 11 a.m., Jan. 27. That game also will be broadcast on ESPN3.
Also participating in the Jan. 25-27 event will be the English and Haudenosaunee women's national teams, University of Notre Dame men's team, Syracuse University women's team, Jacksonville University men's team, Rollins College women's team and Stetson University women's team.
Duke opens its 2013 campaign Feb. 9 against rival Denver at 12 p.m. The Blue Devils have four home games in the first two weekends, including matchups with perennial powers Denver and Notre Dame.
