Saber Anthony Lin and epee Emily D'Agostino - Duke's two senior captains - were named Ronald McDonald House Charities Duke Student-Athletes of the Week after leading the Blue Devil men's and women's teams to a pair of top-five wins and a combined 8-2 record at the Duke Home Meet over the weekend. Lin, who finished 7-2 on Saturday, went a perfect 3-0 against No. 2 Notre Dame to lead the Blue Devils past the Fighting Irish 15-12. D'Agostino followed suit on Sunday, finishing a perfect 3-0 against No. 5 Penn State as part of a 16-11 Duke victory over the Nittany Lions. The effort was part of a 14-1 day for D'Agostino and a flawless 5-0 showing by the Duke women's epees.

Both the Duke men (14-6) and women (15-7) went 4-1 at the Duke Home Meet. The Duke men defeated North Carolina 18-9, Wayne State 18-9, Johns Hopkins 16-11 and Notre Dame 15-12. The women took down Northwestern 14-13, Wayne State 18-9, North Carolina 18-9 and Penn State 16-11. The Duke women took home both the saber and epee trophies on Sunday with the epees compiling 35 wins, which was 14 more than the next closest team.

Following the Junior Olympics on Feb. 15-18, to which a select few fencers will travel, Duke returns to team competition on Feb. 23 at the Temple Duals in Philadelphia, Pa. That will be Duke's last dual meet of the season as NCAA Regionals await the team on March 9 followed by the NCAA Championships on March 21-24 in San Antonio, Texas.
