Tom Long, a member of the Duke football staff since 2008, has been named the ACC’s 2012 Co-Video Director of the Year. Long shared the accolade, which is voted on annually by the league’s video directors, with Craig Campanozzi of Florida State.DURHAM, N.C. –
“We are certainly proud of Tom in receiving this tremendous honor,” said Duke head coach David Cutcliffe. “I don’t know how much people outside the Yoh Center understand Tom’s importance and how critical he is to the success of our program. This award is very much deserved, and we’re appreciative of Tom’s hard work and dedication to Duke football.”
Long joined the Blue Devil program after working for XOS Technologies, Inc., in the technical support field. He also served as a video assistant with the NFL’s Washington Redskins.
“While I am humbled and grateful to be named one of two co-recipients this year, this honor is a team award and the recognition is a true reflection of the efforts of many individuals, and in particular Adam Barkley, who has been a trustworthy and valued co-worker over the past three-plus years,” Long said.
A native of Teaneck, N.J., Long is a 2004 graduate of the University of Maryland.
