Track & Field Coaching Staff
Matt LoPiccolo joined the Duke coaching staff in the fall of 2013 as an assistant track & field coach under the direction of associate head coach Shawn Wilbourn.
Assisting with the sprints, LoPiccolo helped the Blue Devils see one of the most successful seasons in Duke history in 2014. A total of 10 school records were set in the sprint events during the 2014 season, including in the indoor 200, 400 and 4x400, and the outdoor 100, 200, 400, 100 hurdles, 400 hurdles, 4x200 and 4x400. The 4x400, comprised of Lauren Hansson, Elizabeth Kerpon, Teddi Maslowski and Madeline Kopp, became the first Duke women’s 4x400 in school history to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships after placing third in its heat and fourth overall at the NCAA East Preliminary Round competition.
