DURHAM, N.C. – ESPNU will televise Duke basketball’s Countdown to Craziness season tipoff event on Friday, Oct. 18, in Cameron Indoor Stadium beginning at 8 p.m. as part of its four-hour ESPNU Midnight Madness telecast.

Duke, ranked No. 6 by King, is one of nine schools chosen to be featured by ESPNU during the program, alongside No. 1 Kentucky, No. 9 Syracuse, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 13 Wichita State, No. 15 Memphis, No. 17 New Mexico, No. 21 UConn and Florida Gulf Coast. The broadcast features live look-ins from nine sites, including eight in ESPN basketball writer Jason King’s top 25. ESPN analyst Dino Gaudio will provide commentary for the Blue Devils alongside another ESPN television personality who has not yet been announced.

Duke’s Countdown to Craziness will feature the No. 6 Blue Devils squaring off against one another in an intrasquad scrimmage. Additionally, the event features live student performances, highlight videos, sponsored promotions and a dunk contest. The doors to Cameron open at 6:30 p.m. but pre-event festivities begin beforehand with live music, inflatable games and face painting in Krzyzewskiville.

Tickets to Countdown to Craziness are available online at www.goduke.com/tickets or by calling (919) 681-BLUE.
