DURHAM, N.C. -- Recently, sat down with senior Richa Jackson to learn more about the Midwest City, Okla., native. Who would you trade places with for a day?
Richa Jackson: Michael Jordan, because he is one of my role models as far as basketball. He’s a great player, and just having an opportunity to know how he operates from the inside would be terrific. What is the biggest difference between high school and college basketball?
RJ: I would definitely have to say the speed of the game is faster. There are a lot more demands, defense is very stressed, way more than high school was, and I would say the intensity of the game, as well, is very different from high school. What is your dream job?
RJ: Playing in the WNBA. My favorite team is the LA Sparks, but at this point it really doesn’t matter. Where is your favorite spot to study on campus?
RJ: I like to study in my room, quietly by myself. That helps me to get my thoughts right and actually get work done. Which Duke sporting event other than your own do you like to attend?
RJ: The volleyball games are very interesting. They look really good this year and just seeing them play excites me. Who has had the most impact on your life and why?
RJ: I would say my mother and father. My father taught me how to play basketball and has been there for me since I was young and my mother has been a moral support, so both of them have been tremendously important to me. What are your goals for the season?
RJ: I would have to say winning the ACC championship and getting to the final four and winning a national championship.
