With the Duke Victory… • Moved to 18-1 overall and 5-0 in ACC play on the season. • Won its 20th straight game against Virginia Tech and moved the all-time series record to 22-2. • Won its 17th consecutive game against an unranked opponent. • Improved to 10-1 all-time at Virginia Tech, including winners of 10 straight.
Senior Tricia Liston • Totaled a team-high 22 points, six rebounds, three assists. • Reached 20 or more points in a game for the ninth time this year and 22nd time in her career. • Moved into a tie for 12th on Duke’s all-time points list with 1,388. Tied Kira Orr. • Now owns 217 career three-pointers and is five away from matching the Duke all-time mark held by Abby Waner (222). • Snapped a streak of hitting 28 straight free throws.
Senior Haley Peters • Posted 11 points, a team-high eight rebounds, one assist. • Hit a three-pointer in her third straight game marking only the third time in her career she has hit a trey in three or more straight games. • Drained 2-of-4 from downtown. • Went over the 700-rebound mark of her career with her eight rebounds on the day.
Sophomore Alexis Jones • Had a career-high four three-pointers made on six attempts. • Posted 19 points, a team-high six assists, three rebounds and a team-high two steals. • Hit 7-of-11 field goals.
Junior Elizabeth Williams • Had 11 points, five rebounds and four blocks. • Moved her consecutive blocks streak to 88 straight games since arriving at Duke with her four swats on the afternoon. • Fouled out for only second time this year and third time in her career.
Senior Richa Jackson • Snapped a three-game double-figure scoring streak as she scored five points. • Hit only 2-of-6 field goals. • Started her second straight game in place of Chelsea Gray.
Junior Ka'lia Johnson • Came off the bench to post six points, five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 13 minutes. • Took one charge.
Other Duke Notes… • Hit 60.% from the field for the third straight game in the first half. • Drained 8-of-11 three-pointers in the first half and went on to hit 10-of-15 treys, which was the most for the Blue Devils this season in the ACC. • Hit 53.1 percent from the field for the game. • Hit only 12-of-25 free throws. • Had only five steals, which was a season low for Duke in ACC play. • Was outrebounded, 35-31, for the game. Outrebounded for only fourth time this year. • Will next travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to face Florida State on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be aired live on ESPN3.
