Brad Amersbach joined the Duke Athletic department in July of 2013 and currently serves as an Academic Coordinator. Amersbach, who works with the baseball, men’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s swimming and diving and wrestling programs, was elevated to his current position in July, 2017, after serving the previous six months as an Assistant Academic Coordinator.
Prior to transitioning to the academic services department in January of 2017, Amersbach worked in Duke’s sports information office for nearly four years.
A native of Royersford, Pa., Amersbach is a 2008 graduate of Millersville University, where he earned a degree in Secondary English Education. In 2012, Amersbach earned a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Sport and Athletic Administration from West Chester University, where he also interned in the sports information department.
Amersbach taught English at Spring-Ford Senior High School for five years, working with 10th, 11th and 12th grade students, prior to his time with Duke.
