DURHAM, N.C. – Following an 11-0 sweep of Coastal Carolina at Ambler Tennis Stadium Thursday, the 17th-ranked Blue Devils (6-3) hit the road for a matchup at No. 29 VCU Sunday afternoon in Richmond.

VCU Series History
Duke and the Rams will square off for the 37th time in program history Sunday with the Blue Devils leading the all-time series, 33-3 … Duke is 8-3 all-time when facing VCU on the road … The Blue Devils have won seven consecutive meetings against the Rams.

Last Time We Met
Chris Mengel collected a win in doubles and clinched the team win in singles as the Blue Devils swept VCU in the teams’ last meeting March 5, 2013 in Durham … Duke won all three doubles matches to start the contest, with Mengel and Fred Saba teaming up for an 8-3 victory from the No. 3 position … Raphael Hemmeler (5) and Michael Redlicki (3) tallied straight-sets wins in singles before Mengel clinched from the No. 4 spot in the lineup.

Scouting the Rams
VCU enters Sunday’s contest with an 11-5 ledger after sweeping Binghamton, 7-0, Friday … The Rams are 1-2 against ACC teams this spring, upending NC State during ITA Kick-Off Weekend in January … VCU also fell to NC State Feb. 7 in Raleigh and suffered a 5-2 setback against North Carolina Jan. 20 in Richmond … Ranked 29th in the ITA team poll, the squad features two nationally-ranked singles players in No. 59 Alexis Heugas and No. 121 Michael Voscek … Heugas is 8-3 from the top spot in the lineup.

Scouting the Blue Devils
Duke returned to action Thursday, Feb. 27, sweeping Coastal Carolina in four doubles and seven singles contests at Ambler Tennis Stadium … Sophomore Michael Redlicki, the 37th-ranked singles player in the ITA poll, leads the team from the No. 1 position with a 3-1 dual match ledger and has won three consecutive matches heading into the contest at VCU... No. 58 Fred Saba is 4-2 at the No. 2 position and No. 40 Jason Tahir has compiled a 4-0 record from the No. 3 spot ... Redlicki and Tahir combine to form the nation’s 33rd-ranked doubles pair.
