Dr. Tracy Ray is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Family Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery and the Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine for Duke Sports Medicine.
Dr. Ray arrived at Duke in 2012 after 12 years in practice in Birmingham, Ala. He received his MD at the Medical College of Georgia in 1993 and completed his Family Medicine residency training in Tuscaloosa, Ala. His fellowship training in sports medicine was completed at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio in 1997.
Currently, Ray directs the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship program at Duke and provides physician leadership for the outreach program of Duke Sports Medicine to Durham and the surrounding area high schools. He also provides coverage to Duke Athletics when needed.
