Josh Foster joined the Blue Devils staff in August of 2018, and serves as an Assistant Sports Information Director. He serves as the primary communications contact for Duke's baseball and volleyball programs.
Foster previously served as a Sports Information Staff Assistant, handling the media relations responsibilities for Duke’s cross country, rowing and track and field programs while serving as the secondary contact for men's basketball prior to being promoted to his current role in January of 2019.
During the summer of 2016, Foster was a Duke Athletics Open Door Initiative Intern. He assisted in support roles and became familiar with responsibilities in various departments, including human resources, development, compliance, marketing, social media, sports information and ticketing.
A President’s List Scholar and Dean’s List Scholar, Foster graduated from the University of Alabama in December of 2017 with a degree in human performance and exercise science. He earned a master’s degree in sports business management from Alabama in December of 2019.
While at Alabama, Foster served as a student assistant in the Athletic Communications office for three years, working primarily with the baseball and football programs. In addition, he volunteered at the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament in March of 2018.
