Following a four-year stint as a Duke Basketball manager, Zach Marcus joined Duke’s staff in the summer of 2018 as a staff assistant.

In this role, Marcus will assist in all phases of Duke’s program, including operation, video, scouting and recruiting. As a four-year manager, he assisted in the management of the team’s daily practices, supported team travel and logistics, coordinated meal orders and aided in players’ workouts and training.

He was elevated to the role of student video coordinator, a position that put him responsible for scouting and video editing. Marcus provided advance scouting reports to assistant coaches, developed offensive play diagrams and managed the collection of advanced statistics.

While also with Duke, Marcus was directly involved with the organization of head coach Mike Krzyzewski’s Summer Camps and K Academy, Coach K’s summer fantasy camp.

While a student, Marcus spent the summers of 2016 and 2017 as a video intern with the Miami Heat.

A five-time member of Duke’s Dean’s List, Marcus earned his bachelor’s degree in public policy in 2018. The native of Boca Raton, Fla., was a four-year basketball player at West Boca Raton High School.
