Coach Ashleigh is entering her second season as the Head Sports Performance Coach for Women’s Basketball. She coaches out of the Krzyzewski Center weight room and practice court facilities where her responsibilities encompass all avenues athletic development. Her main duties include overall strength development, first step quickness, change of direction, maximal recovery and individualized programming for each member of the Lady Blue Devils.
Coach comes to Duke following a three-year stint at Army West Point as an Assistant Strength Coach for Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Swimming and Dive, Rifle and Cheer. Prior to her position at USMA, she held an internship at Duke in 2013 with Olympic Sports and the University of Dayton with Men’s and Women’s Basketball in 2009-2010.
Originally from Georgia, she graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences and later with her Master’s in Sports Medicine in 2012. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.
