  • Duke enters the NCAA Tournament at 27-5 overall, including a 13-3 mark in the ACC regular season. Duke has won 20 or more games in each of the last 12 seasons.
  • Duke is making its 32nd NCAA Tournament appearance, including its 13th straight tournament berth.
  • The Blue Devils are 85-28 all-time in the NCAA Tournament, including a 68-20 mark under Mike Krzyzewski.
  • Duke enters the 2008 NCAA Tournament as the second seed in the West Region. The Blue Devils are 20-5 all-time when seeded second in the tournament. Duke has reached four Final Fours when seeded second in the tournament.
  • The Blue Devils have won 13 or more ACC games 11 times overall, including eight of the past 11 seasons. The remaining 11 ACC teams have won 13 or more conference games a combined 14 times.
  • Duke is ranked ninth in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. The Blue Devils have ranked in the top 10 of the poll for 12 straight weeks.
  • The Blue Devils fell, 79-77, to Virginia Commonwealth in the opening round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament. The loss snapped a string of nine consecutive Sweet 16 appearances. Greg Paulus scored a career-high 25 points in the loss to the Rams.
  • Senior DeMarcus Nelson was named to the ACC All-Tournament second team after averaging 15.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in a pair of games. Duke topped Georgia Tech, 82-70, in the quarterfi nals, before falling to Clemson (78-74) in the semifinals.

Numbers Game

2 • Duke is the No. 2 seed in the West region for the 2008 NCAA Tournament, marking the seventh time in school history the Blue Devils are a No. 2 seed. In those seven seasons, Duke has gone to the Final Four in 1988, 1989, 1991 and 1994, winning the National Championship in 1991. Duke is 5-0 in the fi rst round as a No. 2 seed.

4-1 • The Blue Devils are 4-1 all-time at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. Duke went 3-0 to claim the ACC Tournament championship in 2005 and is 1-1 against Georgetown at the Verizon Center.

4.9, 4.5 • Sophomore Brian Zoubek is averaging 4.9 points and 4.5 rebounds in just 12.8 minutes per game over the last eight games. He also has a blocked shot in six of those eight contests.

5 • Duke defeated fi ve teams (Cornell, Davidson, North Carolina, Temple and Wisconsin) that went on to win their conference championship in 2008

8 • Junior Greg Paulus needs just eight points to become the 56th player in Duke history to score 1,000 points in a career. Paulus currently has 992 points and is averaging 11.3 points per game this season.

15.5 • DeMarcus Nelson and Jon Scheyer led Duke in the ACC Tournament by averaging 15.5 points per game each. Nelson also grabbed nine rebounds in both games while posting nine assists and three steals.

16Greg Paulus has made at least one three-point fi eld goal in 16 straight games this season. He has made at least one trey in 31 of the 32 games this year.

24 • This year marks the 24th NCAA Tournament appearance for Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski, the sixth-most for any coach in NCAA history. His 88 games in the tournament rank second all-time behind Dean Smith (92).

68Mike Krzyzewski has a career record of 68-20 in the NCAA Tournament, giving him the most victories of any coach in NCAA Division I history. Krzyzewski’s .773 winning percentage ranks second all-time behind UCLA’s John Wooden (.825) for coaches with 40 or more NCAA Tournament games.

.938 • Sophomore Jon Scheyer made 15-of-16 (.938) from the foul line in the ACC Tournament. In his last fi ve games, he is shooting .966 from the charity stripe, making 28 of his 29 attempts. Scheyer ranks second in ACC in free throw percentage (.882, 105-of-119) for the season.

802 • Mike Krzyzewski currently ranks sixth among NCAA Division I coaches with 802 career victories. He is two wins shy of Eddie Sutton for fi fth all-time. Krzyzewski’s 802 wins also matches Dean Smith for most victories through 33 years of coaching.

1,328 • Senior DeMarcus Nelson ranks 33rd on the Duke all-time scoring chart. He is 10 points shy of Joe Belmont for 32nd. He has become one of only six players in school history to record 1,300 points, 600 rebounds, 200 assists and 125 steals.
