Inside the Numbers …

  • .917 - Junior walk-on placekicker Will Snyderwine has made 11-of-12 field goal attempts this season for a .917 percentage. He ranks second in the ACC and ninth nationally in field goal percentage.
  • 1 - Senior quarterback Thaddeus Lewis will move into a tie for fifth on the ACC career passing touchdowns chart with one passing touchdown. Lewis currently ranks sixth with 62 career scoring tosses.
  • 3 - The Blue Devils have won three straight games for the first time since 1994, which was also the last time Duke had three straight victories in ACC play.
  • 4 - Senior cornerback Leon Wright has four interceptions on the season to rank tied for second in the ACC. He now has nine career interceptions to rank tied for seventh in school history.
  • 5 - Duke has scored five non-offensive touchdowns this season with two interception returns for scores and three fumble returns for touchdowns.
  • 5.43 - True freshman Conner Vernon leads the ACC with 5.43 receptions per game. The last freshman to lead the conference in receptions per game was Maryland’s Frank Wycheck in 1990 while the last Blue Devil to do so was Roger Boone in 1988.
  • 11 - Snyderwine has made his last 11 field goal attempts, including all five attempts at Virginia last week.
  • 13 - Senior defensive tackle Vince Oghobaase has 13 career sacks, ranking him tied for fifth in school history. He also is seventh in career tackles for loss with 34.5.
  • 17 - Vernon needs 17 receiving yards to set Duke’s freshman record for receiving yards in a season. He currently has 562, 16 shy of Walter Jones for the top mark at Duke.
  • 19 - Lewis is 19 pass attempts away from breaking Ben Bennett’s school career record of 1,375.
  • 20 - Duke has held its last two opponents to under 20 points, giving the Blue Devils four games this season where the opponent has failed to reach 20 points.
  • 100 - The Blue Devils have had two wide receivers record over 100 yards in each of the last two games for the first time since 1999. Both Donovan Varner and Vernon have recorded back-to-back 100-yard games to give each of them three on the season.
  • 116 - Wright’s 116 interception return yards rank as the eighth most in the nation this season and are also the eighth most in a single season in Duke history.
  • 131 - With 131 yards, Lewis will break Spence Fischer’s school record for career total offense. Lewis currently has 8,980 rushing and passing yards combined.
  • 299 - Senior linebacker Vincent Rey has 299 career tackles, one shy of becoming the 13th player in school history with 300 career tackles.
  • 300 - If Lewis throws for 300 or more yards against North Carolina he will become just the third player in ACC history with at least 300 yards passing in five straight games, joining Boston College’s Matt Ryan and Duke’s Anthony Dilweg.
  • 325.1 - Duke leads the ACC and ranks fifth nationally in passing offense by averaging 325.1 yards per game through the air. The Blue Devils last led the league in passing offense in 1991. Duke also ranks fourth in the league in total offense with an average of 400.4 yards per game.
  • 600 - Vernon is 38 yards shy of 600 for the season, which would give the Blue Devils two receivers over 600 yards in the same season for just the seventh time in school history and first since 1999. Varner currently has 660 yards for the year.
  • 821 - Vernon has 821 all-purpose yards, the fifth most by a freshman at Duke. He ranks fifth in the ACC with 117.3 all-purpose yards per game.
