DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke baseball team has announced ticket prices for the upcoming 2010 season which includes 31 home games, 18 of which will take place at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, home of the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.
Season tickets for Duke's 2010 home schedule run at $124 per ticket, which is over a 35 percent savings compared to the cost of 31 single-game tickets. A season ticket grants the holder admission to all 31 Duke home games, both at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, located in Downtown Durham, and Jack Coombs Field, located on the West Campus of Duke University.
For the 18 home games at the DBAP, reserved single-game tickets will cost $7 apiece with a $3 youth ticket available for those under 18 years of age. A single-game Duke University employee ticket is also available for $5.
Ticket sales for games at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park will run through the Durham Bulls Ticket Office, which can be reached at (919) 956-BULL or online at http://www.durhambulls.com/dukebaseball/. Tickets may also be purchased at the game.
For the remaining 13 home games at Jack Coombs Field, general admission tickets will cost $5 apiece. Ticket sales for games at Jack Coombs Field will run through the Duke Ticket Office at www.GoDuke.com or at 1-877-375-DUKE (3853).
Duke students will continue to enjoy free admission to all Duke baseball games. Sections 113-115 at the DBAP will be reserved for Duke University students.
Duke's 2010 home schedule includes home ACC series against numerous College World Series hopefuls, including North Carolina, Virginia, Miami, Florida State and Clemson, all of which finished the 2009 season ranked in the national top 25. All but the Florida State series will take place at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park with the remaining 13 home games slated to be played at Jack Coombs Field, located on the West Campus of Duke University.
Coming off of a 35-24 season that included a 15-15 ACC record and series wins over No. 1 North Carolina and No. 7 Georgia Tech, the Duke baseball team returns five starters for 2010 and a deep pitching staff. The Blue Devils open the 2010 season on Feb. 19 as part of the QTI Apparrel's Opening Weekend Classic in Waco, Texas, where they will face Baylor and Georgia.
The home opener for Duke takes place on Friday, Feb. 26, at 3 p.m. in the first game of a three-game set against Fordham. The series will be played at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
