It is strictly prohibited to bring alcohol into the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Individuals violating this policy are subject to ejection from the stadium.  Alcohol will be on sale at all Duke Baseball games at the DBAP.

ATM Machines
Mechanics and Farmers Bank provides an automated teller machine to the left of the front stairs in the main entry plaza.  There are also KeySource Commercial Bank cash machines located on the concourse near The Herald-Sun Fan Assistance Center and First Base Hits concession stand.

Bags and Bag Search
Small bags, purses and fanny packs are permitted into the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. However, all bags are subject to search by stadium officials.  Random bag searches will be conducted at the stadium gates upon entry.

Banners and signs
Hand held banners are permitted if they are in good taste, contain no profanity or derogatory statements, and do not block the view of other patrons.

Camera Policy
Hand-held still cameras are permitted for personal use. Video cameras are permitted to be used during pre-game only. Video cameras are prohibited from filming the game.

Conduct
Duke Athletics and the Durham Bulls Athletic Park expect all fans to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times before, during and after the game. We expect all fans to treat other fans, players, coaches and officials with courtesy. Fans should contact a stadium official or a police officer if they feel someone is not acting appropriately.  Anyone trespassing on the field, throwing anything onto the field, using abusive and/or obscene language, or those deemed intoxicated will be subject to ejection and/or prosecution.  If you witness a violation of any of these policies, please contact any game day staff or security officer for assistance.  Game day staff will proactively intervene to support an environment where guests can enjoy the Blue Devil Baseball experience free from unacceptable behavior.  Any guest not adhering to the above code or behaving in an unruly manner will be removed from the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Game Day staff reserves the right to determine what is unruly or unacceptable behavior, warranting removal.

Elevators
For the convenience of our skybox patrons and our guests with disabilities, the DBAP has elevators located inside the main lobby to the left of Ballpark Corner and also on the right-field end of the concourse.

Emergencies and Evacuation Procedures
For emergency assistance, please contact a seating bowl host or security/police officer.

First Aid
Medical care is available at the Herald-Sun Fan Assistance Center.  EMT staff is available in yellow shirts throughout the ballpark.

Food and Beverages
No outside food or beverages are allowed inside the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Foul Ball Alert
Please be aware that the ball can be hit into the seating area.  Stay alert anytime you are in the seating area.  If you catch a foul ball, please feel free to keep it!  Also, be on the lookout, as bats are sometimes inadvertently tossed into the stands.

Gates (Entrance into stadium)
All gates to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park will open 1 hour prior to the first pitch. Patrons with purses and bags are subject to searches. All Duke and visiting team parents, media, and scouts may request entrance to the stadium for batting practice prior to 1 hour pre-game by contacting game day staff located at the main entrance gates.

Inclement Weather and Lightning Policy
Duke University Athletics event management staff utilizes the Weather Data software and text messaging services, as well as the Accu Weather Smart RAD radar software.

The Duke Event Management staff will monitor the weather leading up to and during the game.  If rain or other weather-related problems cause delays or cancellation of the game, umpires and coaches will be notified as soon as possible.  If lightning is detected within a 10 mile radius of the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, Weather Data sends a text message to Training Room and Event Management Staff.  Following receipt of the text message, the Game Manager consults Weather Data officials and the Accu Weather radar, and then notifies the umpire.  If lightning is detected within the 10 mile radius of the Durham Bulls Athletic Park, then play will be stopped and the field will be cleared. Players, coaches, umpires and all other individuals should clear the field and take cover. Umpires will be taken to their locker room and the visiting team will get on their bus or be taken to an auxiliary area of the ballpark (if available) until the lightning is out of the area as indicated by the weather service. There will be a 30-minute delay from the last detected lightning strike within 10 miles of the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. This will be verified by Weather Data and the Accu Weather radar.

Duke Event Management will work very closely with Weather Data officials and the game umpires to be prepared to preserve the integrity of the field if a storm with lightning is imminent.  In situations where lightning is inevitable and approaching quickly along with heavy rains, Duke Event Management will make the recommendation to the game umpires to delay the game and have the field covered.  If the game is delayed due to lightning within 10 miles of the Durham Bulls Ball Park, Duke Athletic Staff in conjunction with the Durham Bulls grounds crew will may every attempt possible to cover the field with the tarp.  The Duke Baseball program is responsible for putting the tarp on the field only when lightning is not present or outside the 10 mile radius.  It will take approximately 15 minutes to get the tarp in place.  If a weather delay occurs we ask that the visiting team stay off the field.

Note: Lightning can, and does, strike as far as 10 miles away from the rain shaft. It does not have to be raining for lightning to strike. The safety and welfare of the participants, coaches, event staff and spectators is the single most important consideration.
