DURHAM, N.C. - The U.S. Basketball Writers Association released its 2009-10 All-District teams on Tuesday with Duke's Jon Scheyer, Kyle Singler and Nolan Smith listed among the 10 players in District III.

District III is made up of schools located in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Maryland. Duke was the only school in the district with more than one player named to the team. The Blue Devils join Connecticut, Kentucky, Purdue and Kansas as the only other teams nationally with three all-district selections.

The trio of Duke players are the highest scoring trio in the country, averaging a combined 53.7 points per game this season. The three players are currently the fourth highest scoring trio under head coach Mike Krzyzewski. All three players have recorded over 500 points this season, becoming the seventh trio under Coach K to each score over 500 points in a season.

Combined, Scheyer, Singler and Smith have recorded 41 games with 20 or more points this season. All three players rank among the top five in the ACC for 20-point games this season with Scheyer in second (15), Smith in fourth (14) and Singler in fifth (12).
