Duke Faces North Carolina on ESPNU

Duke is hosting North Carolina in an ACC regular season contest on March 10 at Koskinen Stadium ... The 7 p.m., contest will be televised live on ESPNU ... It will be the conference opener for the Tar Heels, while Duke will be playing its second ACC contest in five days.


Duke-North Carolina Series History

Duke and North Carolina are meeting for the 64th time since the first varsity meeting in 1952 ... The Tar Heels hold a 37-26 advantage in the series, but the Blue Devils are riding an 11-game win streak and have not lost to UNC since March 20, 2004 ... In regular season contests North Carolina is 33-16 against Duke with 17 of those wins coming in Durham.


Last Time We Met

The Blue Devils and Tar Heels last faced off in the 2009 NCAA Quarterfinal in Annapolis, Md. ... Duke outlasted North Carolina 12-11, as the Tar Heels made a furious run in the final minutes of the fourth quarter ... Tom Montelli tallied what proved to be the game-winning goal for the Blue Devils, while Ned Crotty scored twice and handed out six assists to lead all scorers.

Michael Burns handles the faceoff duties and is 36-of-67 (.537) for the season with 12 ground balls ... In goal, Chris Madalon has played all but seven minutes ...
