Duke Faces Georgetown on Saturday

Playing their third game in seven days, Duke hits the road to Washington D.C., to take on the 10th-ranked Georgetown Hoyas on March 27 at 12 p.m. at Multi-Sport Field ... The game will be televised live by ESPNU with Joe Beninati and Jamie Munro calling the action.

Duke-Georgetown Series History

Duke and Georgetown are battling it out for the 23rd time overall ... The Blue Devils hold a commanding 16-6 advantage in the series and have won three of the past four outings ... Duke captured a 9-5 win over the Hoyas in Durham in 2009, but lost to Georgetown in Washington D.C., in 2008 ... The last time the Blue Devils beat Georgetown on its home field was on March 24, 2007 with a 6-4 victory ... Duke is 7-3 all-time in Washington D.C.

Duke heads to Washington D.C., on a three-game win streak after dominating Dartmouth 15-3 on Tuesday evening ... The trio of attackmen Max Quinzani, Ned Crotty and Zach Howell pace the offense ... Quinzani leads all goal scorers with 31 goals and 36 points overall ... Crotty has a team-best 26 assists and 33 points total, while Howell has contributed 22 goals and eight assists ... Sophomore Justin Turri leads the midfield with 14 points (8g, 6a) ... Senior Parker McKee has a team-high 18 caused turnovers and 54 ground balls, while classmate Sam Payton has 11 and 26, respectively ... Payton and sophomore CJ Costabile handle the faceoff duties ... Payton is 41-of-87 (.471) in restarts and Costabile is 42-of-78 (.538) ... In goal, freshman Dan Wigrizer has started all eight games and sports a 9.83 goals against average and a .523 save percentage ... Overall the team is allowing 9.45 goals per game, the first time this season the total has been under 10.

Scouting Georgetown

Georgetown enters the home contest ranked 10th in the USILA Coaches poll and eighth in the Inside Lacrosse rankings ... The Hoyas are 4-2 overall and are coming off of a pair of wins over Providence and Delaware ... Their two losses came at the hands of No. 2 Syracuse and No. 4 Maryland ... Craig Dowd paces the offense with 18 points (6g, 12a), while Travis Comeau has a team-high 13 goals and 14 points overall ... Georgetown has five players with double-digit points on the season and 19 different goal scorers ... Overall the Hoyas are averaging 12.34 goals per game ... Brian Tabb anchors the faceoff game with an 81-of-145 mark (.559) at the X ... Chris Nixon leads the team with 11 caused turnovers ... In goal, C.T. Fisher and Jack Davis are splitting duties ... After scoring just 60 goals in the first six games, Duke has tallied 35 scores in the past two outings ... The Blue Devils registered 20 goals against Penn State and 15 versus Dartmouth ...
