Career
  • First two seasons in Durham have been interrupted by foot injuries ... has gained valuable experience in practice
  • A high-energy post that runs the floor well and attacks the rim with aggression
  • Will be looked upon to bring energy, enthusiasm and toughness to the Duke post rotation ... poised to make a significant impact off the bench for the Blue Devils
  • Possesses a soft touch out to 12 feet and is steadily developing as a back-to-the basket scorer
  • Has worked tirelessly in the weight room to improve strength and conditioning ... has added 40 pounds to his frame since arriving in Durham

  • Notched multiple rebounds for the first time in his career against Miami (1/23)
  • Scored his first career points with a layup in the second half of the ACC opener against Wake Forest (1/5) ... played a career-high seven minutes while also recording his second career block
  • Pulled down an offensive rebound in one minute of play against Santa Clara (12/29)
  • Made his Duke debut against Cornell (12/19), posting one rebound and one block in two minutes of action
  • Was sidelined with a stress fracture in the second metatarsal of his left foot that was diagnosed just before the team’s first practice on Oct. 12

2011-12
  • Did not see game action while redshirting as a freshman

  • Played in two of Duke’s three exhibition games versus the Chinese National Team and in the exhibition contest against United Arab Emirates

  • Had season highs with 25 points and 22 rebounds in an 85-73 win over Ridge View [S.C.] High School
  • Finished his senior year with five 20-point games and 20 games with 10 or more rebounds

  • Born Marshall Harrison Plumlee on July 14, 1992 in West Lafayette, Ind.
  • Son of Perky and Leslie Plumlee
  • Father, Perky, is a lawyer and played basketball at Tennessee Tech
  • Mother, Leslie, is a pharmacist and played basketball at Purdue
  • Has two older brothers, Miles and Mason, and a younger sister, Madeline
  • Was joined on the 2011-12 Duke roster by Miles and Mason to become the first brother trio in ACC history to play on the same team … the Plumlees were just the third brother trio to play on same Division I collegiate basketball team in NCAA history, joining the Brennan brothers (Matthew, Thomas & William) who played at Villanova in 1957-58 and the Bockhorn brothers (Bucky, Harold & Terry) who played at Dayton from 1956-58.
  • Miles, a first round selection by the Indiana Pacers in 2012, is now a member of Phoenix Suns, while Mason was selected No. 22 overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2013 NBA Draft
  • Sister, Madeline, is a senior at Saint Mary's School in Raleigh who will play volleyball at Notre Dame beginning in 2014
  • Grandfather, Albert Schultz, played basketball at Michigan Tech (1944) prior to joining the U.S. Air Force ... he also played on the U.S. Air Force Service Team in 1945
  • Uncle, William Schultz, played basketball at Wisconsin-Eau Claire (1971-72) prior to being deployed to Vietnam ... 1972 NAIA National Runner-up
  • Uncle, Chad Schultz, played basketball at Wisconsin-Oshkosh from 1983-86
  • Received the Christ School Headmaster’s Cup - given to senior who demonstrated exemplary character and leadership
