DURHAM, N.C. - Duke junior Henrique Cunha was selected the ACC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the third-straight week and the 11th time of his career Tuesday, sharing the honor with Virginia's Jarmere Jenkins.  Cunha improved to 5-0 on the spring from the No. 1 singles position while leading the 10th-ranked Blue Devils to victories against a pair of top-30 teams over the weekend.

Ranked the No. 7 player in the country, Cunha upset second-ranked Dennis Nevolo of Illinois, 5-7, 6-1, 1-0 (10-7), in a matchup of top-10 players on Friday evening in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center, handing Nevolo just his third loss since August. Cunha's victory also helped secure a 7-0 Duke sweep of the 19th-ranked Fighting Illini for the program's first win over Illinois since the 2002 season.

Cunha also recorded another win at No. 1 singles on Sunday, making quick work of Notre Dame's Casey Watt, 6-1, 6-2, as Duke defeated the 30th-ranked Fighting Irish by a 6-1 margin. The Jaú, Brazil, native is now 19-4 in singles play this year with a 9-3 ledger against ranked opponents.

In doubles, Cunha teamed with sophomore Fred Saba to go 2-0 on the weekend from the No. 1 position, moving to 3-0 this spring at the top spot in the lineup.

The Blue Devils travel to Knoxville, Tenn. on Saturday, Feb. 11 to face No. 20 Tennessee. The dual match will begin at 1 p.m. in the Volunteers' Goodfriend Tennis Center.
