CARSON, Calif. - Duke University standout Mollie Pathman and the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team downed China in two matches to conclude its training camp at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
The U-20 women knocked off China, 4-1, on April 12 and then notched a 3-0 victory on April 15. Both teams have qualified for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup that will be held from Aug. 18-Sept. 8 in Japan.
Pathman, a native of Durham, N.C., sat out the 3-0 victory, while starting and playing the entire 90 minutes in the 4-1 win against China.
The U.S. team will now go on a break as the players will return to their colleges and high schools before reconvening for a training camp at The Home Depot Center in May.
