McCrory notched a score of 479.00 points in the final to place fifth. Tom Daley of Great Britain won the event with a score of 562.85 points, while David Boudia of the United States captured the silver (543.25) and Sascha Klein of Germany took the bronze (525.90).
The fifth-place performance for McCrory came one day after he and Boudia turned in a gold medal performance in the men's synchronized 10-meter event. It marked the second podium finish of the World Series for McCrory and Boudia, who also earned a silver medal on the platform last week in Moscow.

The United States wrapped up the World Series, a four-leg, invitation-only competition for the top finishers from the 2011 World Championships, with 11 medals overall, including McCrory and Boudia's gold, six silver medals and four bronze.
