
A 12-time national coach of the year honoree and member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2001, Krzyzewski has mentored seven national players of the year, 24 All-Americans, eight ACC Players of the Year, 77 All-ACC selections and 40 NBA draft picks. Under his guidance, the Blue Devils have had 27 seasons with 20 or more wins, an NCAA-record 12 campaigns with 30 or more victories and 11 Final Four berths while spending 104 weeks as the No. 1 ranked team in the nation.
Also, his 79 NCAA Tournament wins are tops in history. In addition to his role at Duke, Krzyzewski serves as the head coach of the USA Basketball Men’s Senior National Team that will compete in the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. He has already directed the National Team to gold medals at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championships in Las Vegas, Nev., 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, and 2010 FIBA World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.
