INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Former Duke University women’s basketball standout Karima Christmas was traded from the Tulsa Shock to the Indiana Fever on Monday, which was announced by the WNBA.

Christmas, who is in her second year of action in the WNBA, was traded for Roneeka Hodges and will be in uniform on Thursday, July 5 for the first of four Fever home games between July 5 and July 12.

A second round draft pick by the Washington Mystics in 2011, Christmas was averaging 3.6 points and 1.9 rebounds through 14 contests this season with Tulsa, while leading the WNBA with 2.33 steals per turnover.  Christmas also ranks third in the WNBA with 3.48 steals per 40 minutes.

Christmas will suit up for her third WNBA team over the last two years.  She averaged 3.2 points per game in 2011 for Tulsa in 12 games.
