DURHAM, N.C. - Duke men’s tennis head coach Ramsey Smith has announced the 2012 fall schedule, with the Blue Devils set to appear in eight tournaments. The team will open its fall slate by hosting the Duke Fab Four Invitational in Cary, N.C. on Sept. 14-16.

Three events highlight the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) portion of the Blue Devils’ schedule, including the ITA All-American Qualifying Rounds Sept. 29-Oct. 3 and the ITA All-American Main Draw Oct. 4-7. Both events will be played in Tulsa, Okla. Duke will then make a return trip to Cary, N.C., to take part in the ITA Regional Qualifier from Oct. 18-22. The program will conclude its fall campaign at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Flushing, N.Y., Nov. 8-11.

In addition, the Blue Devils will compete at the Wake Forest Invitational Oct. 12-14 in Winston Salem, N.C., the Disney Clay Court Invitational Nov. 2-4 in Orlando, Fla., and the Dick Vitale Clay Court Classic Nov. 9-11 in Bradenton, Fla.

“We are extremely excited to get our fall tennis season started,” Smith said. ”All of the guys worked very hard over the summer and have prepared well for a solid fall schedule. We look forward to kicking things off with our Fab Four Invite that we host in a few weeks.”
