DURHAM,N.C. -- Rodney Hood, who transferred to Duke from Mississippi State after the 2011-12 season, sat down with GoDuke.com to talk about his adjustment to life at Duke.

Hood was an SEC All-Freshman Team selection at Mississippi State last season after averaging 10.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists for the Bulldogs. A 6-8 wing, Hood will sit out the 2012-13 season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Hood was a top-50 talent coming out of Meridian High School in Meridian, Miss., ranked as high as the 16th-best recruit in his class by Rivals.com. He joins a Duke program that returns 10 letterwinners and four starters from the 2011-12 season.
