DURHAM, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference Council of Presidents has unanimously voted to accept the University of Louisville as its newest member.
Wednesday, a number of Duke leaders and coaches weighed in with their thoughts on the league's expansion.
"Much like previous impactful moves by Atlantic Coast Conference leadership, our league grew significantly stronger today with the addition of the University of Louisville. Our presidents made a highly informed decision and the ACC will benefit immensely for years to come because of their thoughtfulness and diligence. Certainly, from a Duke perspective, we are thrilled that Louisville will become a member institution of the ACC and look forward to many years of strong camaraderie and outstanding competition between our two universities."
