DURHAM, N.C. –Duke University junior Tricia Liston was selected the ACC Player of the Week on Monday by a vote of the Blue Ribbon Panel, after scoring a career-high 29 points in an 81-70 victory over Wake Forest the day before.

A product of River Forest, Ill., Liston scored 21 of her career-high 29 points in the second half to go along with nine rebounds.  Her 29 points is a new single-game Duke record for most points off the bench.  The previous high was Nicole Erickson’s 28-point output on Jan. 14, 1999 against Clemson.

In Sunday’s contest, Liston picked up her play after junior All-America Chelsea Gray went down with a knee injury and did not return.  She scored nine of Duke’s final 13 points to lead the Blue Devils to the 81-70 victory over Wake Forest.  With Duke leading 69-67 with 3:07 left, she drained her fifth three-pointer of the day to put the game out of reach for the Demon Deacons.  Liston hit a career-high 8-of-9 free throws and her five three-pointers made tied a career high.

Duke registered a 3-0 record on the week with other victories over seventh-ranked Maryland and a road win at Virginia Tech.  Liston averaged 18.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists.  She hit 8-of-13 three-pointers for a 61.5 percentage.

On Monday, Feb. 11 against No. 7 Maryland, Liston scored 17 points, had six rebounds and two steals as Duke took down the Terrapins, 71-56. Following hitting 8-of-13 treys on the week, Liston now leads the nation with a 49.5 three-point field goal percentage.  She also earned the espnW National Player of the Week honor on Monday as well for her efforts.

Liston became the third different Blue Devil to be named ACC Player of the Week this season as Chelsea Gray and Elizabeth Williams earned the nod as well.  It marks the first time since the 2007-08 campaign that one team has registered three different student-athletes named ACC Player of the Week at least once (Maryland).  North Carolinas Xylina McDaniel was selected the ACC Rookie of the Week.

The Blue Devils improved to 24-1 overall and 14-0 in the ACC to maintain a two-game lead in the league.  Duke has now won an ACC-record 37 straight ACC games in historic Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Duke will next host 19th-ranked Florida State on Friday, Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m.  The game will be aired live on RSN-TV.
