DURHAM, N.C.-The Duke University wrestling team closes out its dual season this weekend with a pair of bouts at the NWCA Dual Festival hosted by Franklin & Marshall. The Blue Devils will take on the host Diplomats and Lock Haven Saturday morning to finish the 2012-13 regular season.

Weekend Schedule

Franklin & Marshall will be hosting the NWCA Dual Festival for the first time in program history, welcoming Buffalo, Duke, Lock Haven and No. 14 Purdue to the Mayser Center for two rounds of dual action. Duke opens the duals against Franklin & Marshall at 9:30 a.m. at the Mayser Gymnasium. The Blue Devils bring the 2012-13 regular season to a close against Lock Haven at 11:30 a.m. Live scoring and live video will be available for the Franklin & Marshall match.

Last Time Out

Duke heads into the weekend after a strong 22-9 win at ACC foe NC State. The Blue Devils captured their first ACC win of the year by winning seven of the 10 matches, including grabbing two major decisions. Duke sophomore Randy Roden registered a thrilling 7-2 decision over No. 27 Nijel Jones to start the match and the Blue Devils cruised to the 13-point victory. The win was just the third over the Wolfpack since wrestling became a varsity sport at NC State in 1975.

Series Histories

Duke squares off against Franklin & Marshall for the eighth time overall and the first since 2003. The Blue Devils have won the past two outings and are 2-5 overall against the Diplomats. F&M last won Jan. 30, 2003 in a 22-15 home victory. The Blue Devils take on Lock Haven for just the second time in program history. Duke and the Eagles last met in 1995 with Lock Haven taking a 25-6 victory.

Scouting Duke

Duke redshirt sophomore Immanuel Kerr-Brown and redshirt freshman Marcus Cain pace the Blue Devils with 24-13 and 21-8 overall records, respectively. Cain has been outstanding in duals this season with a 12-2 mark, while Kerr-Brown is 7-6, with three of those wins coming against ACC opponents. At 133 pounds, Brandon Gambucci is 15-4 overall and 10-3 in duals. He owns a team-high seven pins and has won his past three matches. Diego Bencomo has won three straight at 197 pounds and sophomore Tanner Hough and redshirt freshman Trey Adamson will go for wins No. 19 and 20 this weekend.

Scouting Franklin & Marshall

The Diplomats are 7-7 after capturing a 25-12 win over Millersville this past week. Sophomore 141-pounder Richard Durso is ranked 18th in the most recent InterMat rankings. Durso owns a 32-3 record at 141 pounds and takes a 10-match win streak into the weekend. Andrew Murano is 24-12 at 149 pounds, while Robert Ruiz sports a 23-12 overall mark.

Scouting Lock Haven

Lock Haven enters the weekend with a 6-6 overall mark and most recently fell to Bloomsburg 30-7. The Eagles own wins over Bucknell, Cleveland State, Shippensburg, Davidson, West Virginia and Eastern Michigan. Redshirt freshman Dan Neff (141) is ranked 20th in the latest polls, while junior Fred Garcia (184) is 28th. Overall, four wrestlers are ranked in the most recent NCAA coaches' panel rankings - Neff (21), Harry Turner (29), Garcia (30) and Bobby Rehm (32). Four Eagles have surpassed the 20-win plateau this season as Aaron McKinney (165), Neff, Garcia and Rehm all have to 20-plus victories.
