LAST TIME OUT: The Blue Devils are coming off a 7-0 sweep at Virginia Tech Sunday in Blacksburg, Va. The tandem of senior Henrique Cunha and Raphael Hemmeler continued their dominant play in doubles by clinching the opening point for Duke for the sixth time this season, defeating then-No. 21 Andreas Bjerrehus and Amerigo Contini, 9-8 (2). In singles, Cunha remained unbeaten in the spring at 12-0, as the Jaú, Brazil native defeated Contini at the top position of the lineup, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3.

SMITH APPROACHES 100 CAREER WINS: In his fifth season, head coach Ramsey Smith is quickly approaching his 100th career win as a head coach. With the team’s 7-0 win over Virginia Tech Sunday, Smith now owns 98 career victories. He would become the lone coach in program history to achieve 100 wins as a coach, while also winning 100 matches in singles and doubles as a player.

VERSUS FLORIDA STATE: Saturday’s match-up between the Blue Devils and Seminoles will mark the 27th all-time meeting with Duke leading the series, 25-11. In the last meeting between the two programs on March 6, 2012, Duke edged Florida State, 4-3, in Tallahassee, Fla. The Blue Devils own an all-time mark of 9-1 at home against the Seminoles.s

SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES: Florida State comes to Durham with a 14-5 overall record and a 2-2 mark in ACC play. In their previous match Friday, the Seminoles dropped a 5-2 decision to N.C. State in Raleigh. The ‘Noles are led in the singles rankings by No. 121 Dominic Cotrone, while the tandem of Benjamin Lock and Andres Bucaro are listed at No. 45.

COMING UP: The Blue Devils will conclude their road schedule against No. 21 Clemson in Clemson, S.C., on Friday, April 5 at 2:30 p.m.. The squad will play its final regular season road match against Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Ga., Sunday, April 7 at 12 p.m.
