DURHAM, N.C. – Three members of the Duke women’s tennis team earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference recognition for the 2013 season, as announced by the organization Wednesday. Senior Mary Clayton, junior Hanna Mar and sophomore Ester Goldfeld were named to the 19-member team as voted on by the league’s 12 head coaches.

Clayton, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., garnered her first All-ACC selection after posting a 10-6 singles record in dual matches, as well as a 5-3 mark in conference play. A 2013 Duke Tennis Hall of Fame Inductee, Clayton concludes her stellar career in Durham as one of only 21 Blue Devils to ever earn membership into the coveted 100-win club, and has etched her name into the program record book in both career singles victories (108, t-16th) and career ACC singles wins (29, 2nd).

Mar has garnered All-ACC honors for the second consecutive season after recording a 7-6 singles record in dual matches and a 3-3 mark in ACC play while playing in the top spot for the Blue Devils. A native of Burr Ridge, Ill., Mar is currently listed at No. 27 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) singles rankings, after tallying a 8-6 record this year against nationally ranked opponents, highlighted by a thrilling three-set victory over No. 65 Stephanie Nauta to lead the Blue Devils past Virginia March 29th.

A two-time All-ACC honoree, Goldfeld owns a 11-4 singles record in dual matches this season, including a 3-1 mark in ACC play. In doubles action, the Brooklyn, N.Y., native has recorded a 22-4 overall record, and is a part of three ranked tandems in the most recent ITA Doubles poll. Goldfeld earned ACC Player of the Week honors in February after topping then-ninth ranked Sofie Oyen to lead the Blue Devils to the first ever sweep of Florida in program history.

The Blue Devils are slated to kick off the 2013 ACC Championship Thursday when they take on 11th-seeded Virginia Tech at 3 p.m. at the Cary Tennis Park.
