Freiman continues his impressive play in his rookie season with the Athletics. In the first game of Oakland’s current three game series against the Yankees, Freiman finished 2-for-3 at the plate against C.C. Sabathia and 3-for-4 for the game with a run scored. In the field, Freiman owns a .994 fielding percentage on the season with just one charged error in 181.2 innings played. The A’s sit in first place in the AL West standings, as they have won seven of their past 10 games. As a Rule V pickup, Freiman must remain on the A’s active roster for the entire season or get sent back to the San Diego Padres.

In a June 11 contest against Lehigh Valley, Gallagher earned a bases loaded walk before coming around to score, as the Knights defeated the Iron Pigs, 8-4. Gallagher has posted hits in six of his past 10 contests on the season. With runners on base, Gallagher is batting .324 (22-for-68), including 18 of his 20 RBI on the season. Gallagher, used as a utility player for the Knights, has played all three outfield positions this season, as well as first base. In the outfield, Gallagher owns a .972 fielding percentage in 38 games played.

Hassan came off the 7-day DL and was assigned to Class-A South Atlantic League Greenville Drive, where he is off to a tremendous start in his first action of the year for the Drive. In eight games on the year, Hassan owns a .478 (11-for-23) and has had three multi-hit games. He leads the Drive in batting average (.478) as well as OBP (.636). Hassan is listed on Boston’s 40-man roster. He was rated by Baseball America as having the best strike zone judgment in the Red Sox organization entering the 2012 season.

Lemmerman continues to find success in his first season with Springfield, as he has a hit in nine of his last 12 contests. He is batting .249 with 44 hits in 51 games he has played this season. In his most recent contest, Lemmerman went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and three RBI against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. Lemmerman owns a .949 fielding percentage at shortstop this season and ranks third on the Cardinals roster in doubles (10), tied for third in home runs (6) and fifth in OBP (.357).

He took the loss for the Blue Wahoos in a game on June 10 against the Mississippi Braves, as he came on to pitch 1.1 innings and gave up one run on three hits and two strikeouts.  For the season, Manno has struck out 23 batters while walking 16.

After joining the Jethawks of the High-A California Legue, McCurdy has played 11 games for the club and is batting .212 on the season. McCurdy’s best game of the season came against Bakersfield, where he finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a walk and a run scored. The Jethawks own a 4.5 game lead in the California League’s North Division. McCurdy was assigned to the 7-day DL May 28.

For the month of June, O’Grady has allowed just one run in 6.1 innings pitched, while posting five strikeouts. For the season, O’Grady’s 44 strikeouts is third on the Storm roster and the most by a reliever on the squad.

Piwnica-Worms continues to shine for Class-A Hagerstown of the South Atlantic League, as he ranks second on the squad with an on-base percentage of .404, third in triples (2) and third in RBI (24). In the first game of a doubleheader Wednesday against Hickory, Piwnica-Worms was 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and a run scored. In his 41 games with Hagerstown, Piwnica-Worms owns a perfect .986 fielding percentage playing the outfield.

Stroman made his fifth start of the season Sunday for the Fisher Cats, where he picked up his second victory of the season against Erie. Stroman posted pitched five strong innings with eight strike outs, three walks and allowing one earned run. In his five starts this season, Stroman has posted 24 strikeouts compared to just seven walks.
