DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men’s tennis head coach Ramsey Smith announced the fall schedule for the 2013-14 season Monday, as the Blue Devils are set to compete in seven tournaments. The team will open its fall slate by hosting the Duke Fab Four Invitational at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C., Sept. 13-15.

The squad will begin the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) portion of its schedule at the ITA All-American Qualifying rounds Sept. 28–Oct. 2 and the ITA All-American Main Draw Oct. 3-6. Both events will be played in Tulsa, Okla.

Duke will make a return trip to Cary, N.C., Oct. 17-21 for ITA Carolina Regionals, where it will serve as a co-host along with NC State. The program will conclude the ITA portion of its fall schedule at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Flushing, N.Y., Nov. 7-10, where Henrique Cunha and rising junior Raphael Hemmeler became the second Blue Devil pair to capture the doubles title last November.

In addition, the Blue Devils will play at the Wake Forest Fall Invitational Oct. 11-13 in Winston Salem, N.C., and the Dick Vitale Clay Court Classic Nov. 8-10 in Bradenton, Fla.

The Blue Devils return nine letterwinners from last year’s squad.
