• The Blue Devils stand at 1-0 on the year following their 45-0 victory over N.C. Central in the Bull City Gridiron Classic last week ... This week’s game will mark the season-opener for the Tigers
• Saturday’s game will mark the second on the gridiron between the two schools ... Duke won last year’s meeting in Durham, 38-14, as QB Sean Renfree threw for 314 yards and four TDs while the Blue Devil defensive limited Memphis to just 152 total yards ... After trailing 14-7 midway through the second period, Duke scored the game’s final 31 points
• Under head coach David Cutcliffe, the Blue Devils are 4-2 in non-conference road games with victories over Vanderbilt (2008), Army (2009), Navy (2010) & FIU (2011) and losses to [22] Kansas (2009) & [25] Stanford (2012)
• Now in its 101st season of football, Duke owns an all-time record of 466-490-31

Brown posted a team-high seven tackles while Deaver caught three passes for 16 yards including a three-yard TD reception from QB Brandon Connette in the opening quarter
• WR Jamison Crowder earned National Punt Returner of the Week honors from the College Football Performance Awards organization after his five-return, 113-yard outing against N.C. Central ... Crowder’s performance included a 76-yard return for a TD against the Eagles
