Charlotte, N.C. -- The Blue Devils are back in Charlotte.
Less than a year after playing Cincinnati in the Belk Bowl, the program’s first postseason game since 1994, Duke is back in the Queen City for another nationally televised game, this time with the ACC title on the line.
National Coach of the Year David Cutcliffe and his 20th-ranked program will take on top-ranked Florida State at 8pm Saturday night as the Blue Devils aim to win the Atlantic Coast Conference title for the first time since 1989.
Duke arrived at Bank of America Stadium Friday, home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, where the team went through their usual pregame walk through on the eve of Saturday’s national televised contest. Coach Cutcliffe and several of his players spoke with the media, while the rest of the team seized the opportunity to walk the field before heading back to the team hotel.
The Blue Devil Network caught up with several Blue Devils, as well as Florida State Athletics Director and former Duke staffer Stan Wilcox, and former NFL General Manager Bill Polian, who offered his insights on the much-improved Duke program.
