DURHAM, N.C. – Former Blue Devils continue to contribute in a big way for their respective teams at the quarter-mark of the NBA season. Kyrie Irving leads the Cleveland Cavaliers in both scoring and assists, while Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer lead the Bulls in scoring and rebounds, respectively.

Shane Battier
Forward - Miami Heat
Drafted: 1st Round (6th pick) by the Memphis Grizzlies (2001)
2013-14 Stats: 20 games, 4.6 PPG, 1.9 RPG, 0.6 APG, 0.6 SPG, 0.7 BPG
Battier contributed eight points for the Miami Heat in a 99-98 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats, Dec. 1. The small forward saw 26 minutes of action, the third most the season. Battier shot 3-of-5 from the field and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc. The Miami Heat won back-to-back games following a two-game losing streak. Battier is shooting .222 from the field over the last two games.  

Elton Brand
Forward - Atlanta Hawks
Drafted: 1st Round (1st pick) by the Chicago Bulls (1999)
2013-14 Stats: 13 games, 3.2 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 0.5 APG, 0.2 SPG, 0.5 BPG
Following a four-game hiatus, Brand returned to the Hawk’s lineup Nov. 27 and scored two points in a 88-87 victory over the Dallas Mavericks. In the month of December, Brand is averaging two points per game in just over 14 minutes of action.

Carlos Boozer
Forward - Chicago Bulls
Drafted: 2nd Round (35th pick) by the Cleveland Cavaliers (2002)
2013-14 Stats: 18 games, 15.6 PPG, 8.7 RPG, 1.8 APG, 0.4 SPG, 0.5 BPG
Boozer saw his second-highest scoring output of the season Thursday against the Miami Heat, netting 27 points on 10-of-17 shooting in 33 minutes. Boozer recorded double-digit points in all but three games this season. In his most recent contest, Boozer notched his sixth double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and bringing down 12 rebounds against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Luol Deng
Forward - Chicago Bulls
Drafted: 1st Round (7th pick) by the Phoenix Suns (2004)
2013-14 Stats: 17 games, 19.4 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 4.2 APG, 1.1 SPG, 0.2 BPG
Deng’s scoring increased considerably over the last six games, as the small forward averaged over 26 points per game in his last six appearances. Deng approached a triple-double against the New Orleans Pelicans Monday, scoring a season-high 37 points, collecting eight rebounds and dishing seven assists. Deng missed the Bulls’ most recent game against the Detroit Lions and is considered day-to-day with an Achilles injury.

Mike Dunleavy
Forward - Chicago Bulls
Drafted: 1st Round (3rd pick) by the Golden State Warriors (2002)
2013-14 Stats: 18 games, 8.8 PPG, 3.7 RPG, 1.9 APG, 0.5 SPG, 0.1 BPG
Dunleavy played 48 minutes and scored 23 points on 7-of-14 shooting en route to a 131-128 Bulls loss Monday. Two games later, Dunleavy followed the performance with a 16-point effort, shooting 7-of-15 from the floor against the Detroit Pistons.  In the Bulls last three contests, Dunleavy’s playing time increased by over 10 minutes, leading to the small forward averaging two more rebounds and assists than his season averages.

Gerald Henderson
Guard - Charlotte Bobcats
Drafted: 1st Round (12th pick) by the Charlotte Bobcats (2009)
2013-14 Stats: 21 games, 15.2 PPG, 4.6 RPG, 2.5 APG, 1.0 SPG, 0.3 BPG
In addition to contributing over 15 points per game for the Bobcats this season, Henderson is also averaging a career-high 4.6 rebounds per game. In his most recent appearance, Henderson scored a season-high 24 points against the Golden State Warriors. The shooting guard is averaging 18.8 points per game in the month of December, with a .500 field-goal percentage.

Kyrie Irving
Guard - Cleveland Cavaliers
Drafted: 1st Round (1st pick) by the Cleveland Cavaliers (2011)
2013-14 Stats: 21 games, 20.5 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 6.0 APG, 0.9 SPG, 0.2 BPG
Irving recorded his third double-double of the season Tuesday against the New York Knicks, scoring 37 points and adding 11 assists in a 109-94 Cavaliers’ victory. The contest marked the third game this season that Irving scored over 30 points. Irving leads the Cavaliers in points scored and assists this season.   

Josh McRoberts
Forward - Charlotte Bobcats
Drafted: 2nd Round (37th pick) by the Portland Trail Blazers (2007)
2013-14 Stats: 20 games, 8.4 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 4.2 APG, 1.0 SPG, 0.5 BPG
In his two most recent appearances, McRoberts collected double-digit rebounds for the Bobcats. McRoberts also scored 11 points in the Bobcats’ most recent game against the Golden State Warriors, marking McRoberts’ first double-double of the season. In the month of December, McRoberts is averaging over two rebounds a game more than the month of November.

Mason Plumlee
Center - Brooklyn Nets
Drafted: 1st Round (22nd pick) by the Brooklyn Nets (2013)
2013-14 Stats: 17 games, 6.6 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 0.4 APG, 0.5 SPG, 0.5 BPG
Plumlee netted a career-high 16 points against the Houston Rockets on 7-of-8 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 shooting from the line. In 28 minutes of action, Plumlee also collected six rebounds and added three steals, both career highs for the power forward. Plumlee averaged over 17 minutes per game through the month of November.

Miles Plumlee
Forward - Phoenix Suns
Drafted: 1st Round (26th pick) by the Indiana Pacers (2012)
2013-14 Stats: 21 games, 9.6 PPG, 8.3 RPG, 0.5 APG, 0.5 SPG, 1.9 BPG
Plumlee narrowly missed his sixth double-double of the season Tuesday against the Memphis Grizzlies, scoring 11 points and bringing down eight rebounds in 30 minutes of action. On the Suns’ current three-game winning streak, Plumlee is averaging over six points and seven rebounds a game, while also posting over a block per game over the three game stretch.

J.J. Redick
Guard - Los Angeles Clippers
Drafted: 1st Round (11th pick) by the Orlando Magic (2006)
2013-14 Stats: 17 games, 15.8 PPG, 2.2 RPG, 2.0 APG, 0.9 SPG, 0.2 BPG
Redick injured his wrist against the Sacramento Kings Friday, Nov. 29 after scoring 13 points in 17 minutes of play. Redick will not require surgery for the injury, however the shooting guard will miss 6-8 weeks.  

Austin Rivers
Guard - New Orleans Pelicans
Drafted: 1st Round (10th pick) by the New Orleans Hornets (2012)
2013-14 Stats: 12 games, 3.1 PPG, 0.8 RPG, 1.2 APG, 0.2 SPG, 0.1 BPG
Rivers contributed an assist in six minutes of action against the Oklahoma City Thunder Friday. Rivers is shooting .414 from the field while averaging nine minutes per game this season.

Kyle Singler
Forward - Detroit Pistons
Drafted: 2nd Round (33rd pick) by the Detroit Pistons (2011)
2013-14 Stats: 22 games, 7.8 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 0.5 APG, 0.4 SPG, 0.3 BPG
Singler scored a team-high 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-7 from beyond the arc against the Miami Heat Tuesday, Dec. 3. The 107-97 Pistons victory marked the second highest scoring game for Singler this season. Since the game against Miami, Singler is shooting .800 from the floor.

Drafted: 2nd Round (48th pick) by the Los Angeles Lakers (2013)

: 1 game, 3.0 PPG, 1.0 RPG, 0.0 APG, 0.0 SPG, 0.0 BPG
The Lakers recalled Kelly to the NBA from the team’s developmental league affiliate. During his five games with the D-Fenders, Kelly averaged 25 points and seven rebounds per game.

Lance Thomas
