DURHAM, N.C. -- Recently, GoDuke.com sat down with senior Tricia Liston to learn more about the River Forest, Ill., native.
GoDuke.com: What is the biggest difference between high school and college basketball?
Tricia Liston: The physicality and the speed of it.
GoDuke.com: Describe yourself in three words
TL: Outgoing, competitive, and caring.
GoDuke.com: If you weren’t playing basketball, which sport would you play?
TL: Soccer. I played until high school and then I chose basketball.
GoDuke.com: What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
TL: If you want something, work for it, and don’t stop working for it.
GoDuke.com: Where do you like to study on campus?
TL: I like to study up in our conference rooms in the coach’s office or in the K-Center.
GoDuke.com: What athletes did you admire growing up?
TL: I’m a big Kobe Bryant fan, but Michael Jordan also. I’m from Chicago, so he was a big one.
GoDuke.com: What is the coolest thing you did over the summer?
TL: I won a gold medal in Russia.
GoDuke.com: What are your goals for this season?
TK: I want to be playing the best basketball that I’ve played yet at Duke, but also I just want to have fun with my teammates and have a good season, and you know, get to the national championship and win a national championship.
